Distronode is Now Registered with the CRTC
Distronode Corporation is now on the CRTC's list of resellers of telecommunications services, for the business phone numbers, calls and texts it provides.
Distronode Corporation is now registered with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). On October 15, 2026, the Commission confirmed that Distronode meets the requirements to be placed on its Telecommunications Registration Lists as a reseller of telecommunications services. Distronode applied on September 1, 2026.
The registration applies to the service Distronode provides in Canada: business phone numbers, calls and texts, with District AI answering them. As a reseller, Distronode provides that service over networks run by other telecommunications companies, and a Canadian number it issues is answered in Montréal.
Registration brings Distronode under the CRTC's rules for companies that provide telecommunications services in Canada, including the consumer safeguards the Commission sets. Distronode will report to the Commission every year to stay on the list.
Distronode has also applied to the CRTC for a Basic International Telecommunications Services (BITS) licence, for telecommunications traffic between Canada and other countries. The Commission placed the application on its public record on October 1, 2026, for a public comment period of 21 business days. Distronode expects the licence to be approved in the second half of November 2026.
Nothing changes for customers, and there is nothing to set up.
