Distronode Moves Sign-In and Accounts Into Each Region, Ships District AI 3.0
Sign-in, teams, number routing and our subscription records now run in Montréal, Frankfurt and Singapore. The District AI apps reach version 3.0.
Distronode has moved the services that run District AI accounts in Canada, Europe and Asia-Pacific into each account's own region. For a workspace in one of those regions, sign-in, account and team management, number routing, Distronode's own subscription records and scheduled jobs now run in Montréal, Frankfurt or Singapore. Until October 10, they ran in the United States for every workspace.
A workspace's contacts, call records and transcripts were already kept in its region, and the numbers Distronode issues to these workspaces are answered there too. With this change, the account around that data runs in the same place. Workspaces in Virginia are not affected.
Some services still run outside a workspace's region, and Distronode names each one on its region pages. Payments, email and some phone and text-message services run in the United States, every visit reaches Distronode through a global network edge first, and its monitoring tools are in the European Union. In Asia-Pacific, live call updates for the dashboard pass through a relay in the United States. A frozen earlier copy of the moved records is kept in the United States so Distronode can roll back, and in its encrypted backups.
Distronode has also released version 3.0 of the District AI apps for iPhone and iPad, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux. Every app now includes the live call transcript, blocking a contact, managing District Scheduling booking pages, District Desk and reporting AI-generated content, and each one displays Canadian French on a device set to French.
The apps are on the App Store (iPhone, iPad and Mac), Google Play and the Microsoft Store. The Mac app is also a signed download on GitHub and through Homebrew. The Linux app is released on GitHub as a .deb and a Flatpak. All five are open source under the Apache 2.0 licence, and the District AI service they connect to is not: signing in needs a District AI account.
Customers have nothing to change, except that a District AI app signed in to one of these workspaces before October 10 may ask its user to sign in once more. What moved and why it matters is on the Distronode blog.
About Distronode. Distronode Corporation is a federally incorporated Canadian telecommunications company. It provides business phone numbers, calls and texts in Canada, the United States and Europe, and builds District AI, the receptionist that answers them, the desk behind it, and the app that carries it. It publishes where every call is handled.
