Built in Toronto. Answering everywhere.

Distronode Corporation is a federally incorporated Canadian telecommunications company. We provide business phone numbers, calls, and texts in Canada, the United States, and Europe, and we build District AI, the 24/7 receptionist that answers them.

How it's built

Real-time voice infrastructure, run like a phone company.

District AI runs on telecommunications infrastructure we operate ourselves. Website and data origins run in four regions, with in-region storage of workspace data, call records, and transcripts in Canada, Europe, and Singapore for customers who need it. A real-time media stack handles live calls in Montreal and Frankfurt as well as the United States, and a per-data-type map lists the exceptions. Engineering, infrastructure, and compliance are handled across a team led day-to-day by our founder.

We publish the details most vendors keep vague: our privacy commitments, our sub-processors, and a per-data-type map of where your information lives.

What we stand behind

Stripe Climate

As a member of Stripe Climate, Distronode automatically routes 1% of all revenue toward purchasing permanent carbon removal. It applies to every subscription and every call.

Open source

District AI runs on open-source software, from LiveKit's media server on our own nodes to PostgreSQL and Kubernetes. We publish our own work the same way: District Scheduler, our Apache-2.0 fork of Calnode, is public, and we send our changes upstream rather than keeping private patches.

What we believe

What we believe
CommitmentDetail
Honest meteringThe lowest per-minute rate we can offer, published plainly, with spending caps you control. The meter should never be the scary part of owning a phone line.
Accountable like a phone companyWe are registering with the CRTC as a telecommunications service provider in Canada, because a company that provides your phone number should answer to the same regulator your phone company does. Numbers, calls, and texts are the product, not a feature bolted on.
You control the opening lineYour receptionist opens every call with a greeting you write and approve, and nothing reaches your callers that you have not seen first. We recommend telling them plainly that they are speaking to an assistant, because your callers deserve to know who they are talking to.
Try it before you trust itNo gated sales call, no form. Our live demo answers in your browser right now, because the product should make the pitch.
Your data has an addressWe publish where every category of data lives and who processes it, per data type. Canadian customers' call records and transcripts are stored in Canada. Since September 2026, a telephone call on a Canadian number we issue is answered in Montreal, in both directions, and a call on a European number is answered in Europe. A call on a US number, or on a number issued through a carrier with no Canadian presence, is processed in our US media region; the residency map says which. In-browser call audio for Canadian workspaces is processed in Montreal.
